Katakultur
KATA KULTUR INDONESIA Pty Ltd or abbreviated as PT. KATAKULTUR is a Limited Liability Company involved in the field of Publishing, Translations, Books & Merchandise Sales, and Event Organising. It was founded in 2019 by Faiza Mardzoeki, a Playwright, Director and Producer of Theatre and a Cultural Event Organiser.
The establishment of P.T. Kata Kultur Indonesia was announced in the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia No. AHU-0039676.A.H. 01.01, August 13, 2019, with the Business Number (NIB) 9120104833605.

Our Vision
Our vision is to make available quality books and authors by Indonesian authors and from around the world. We publish both fiction and drama as well as non-fictions books. In some cases, we will arrange translation into Indonesian language to make international books accessible in Indonesia. “Words can liberate”, so alongside publishing we are active in a number of related areas.

What we are doing

Publishing
We publish books specializing in topics of Feminism & Gender Studies, Drama Scripts & Theater Books, Translations and Adaptations, Literature, and Social Science. We are open to accept other topics.

Translation
We translates fiction and non-fiction texts from Indonesian to English and from English to Indonesian both for publication as well as for clients’ internal usage.

Bookstore
WANITABACA Bookstore sells books in the humanities and literature. We will also specialize in books with a feminist or gender studies focus.

Reading Room
The Reading Room attached to the bookshop, contains a library of over 2,000 books that can be read on location. It comprises books in English and Indonesian.

Creative Space
The Space is also being used for a wide range of discussions, including book launches and book discussion groups, as well as a range of other creative arts and social issues discussions. You can browse and discuss in the Reading Room.

Merchandise
KATAKULTUR will produce T-shirts, bags, and other merchandise.

Cultural Event Organizer
Katakultur also offers a service of organising cultural events, to contribute to the spread and deepening of critical reading and cultural diversity and is open to local and international cooperation.
